Rincon Creek Ranch
Carpenteria, CA
Nestled in the hills of Carpentaria and surrounded by the Angeles National Forest, this rustic peaceful property is a perfect setting for your private gathering.
Originally established in 1894 as a stagecoach stop for travelers, this 120 acre ranch property featured a large lodge with Ice House, and multiple cabins and structures for travelers. In the early 1900’s the ranch evolved into a “glampground” resort with hunting, tennis, skating and outdoor activities. In the 1920’s and 1930’s, two US Presidents and the Hollywood Crowd frequently visited the ranch. In the early 1950’s the property was acquired by Charles Thompson, the engineer that built Rincon Island—he converted the property to a family compound and it remained in the Thompson Family until shortly after the Thomas Fire in 2017. Sadly the fire devastated the ranch and many structures (the ice house still remains).
Since the fire, Rincon Creek Ranch resurrected from the ashes as a new—revitalized and renewed working avocado ranch and mountain rustic getaway with new growth of trees, foliage, a beautiful meadow, three creeks with bridges, a pavilion and built in bar, reception pad, plenty of open space.
